Thomson and Fraunhofer, the companies that license and own the patents behind the MP3 digital music technology, are in the midst of creating a new digital rights management add-on. Of course, there are current standards, but most are incompatible."

Sorry to sound negative, but this is akin to:
I took a shredder to my bedroom once, and started to put my penis into the gap where you normal put paper. To my horror, my penis started to get shredded! blood and cartilage everywhere.
