The Disposable Computer
sp00 writes "A disposable paperboard computer has been developed and is already in use in Sweden. Developed by Cypak AB, the paperboard computer can collect, process, and exchange several pages of encrypted data, the company says." Pretty impressive, given that they say it has a mere 32K of memory.
it should be, "32k should be more than enough for anyone", of course substituting 640k for 32k
A beowulf cluster of these!
Mad respect to all the trailblazers who managed to write kick-ass games under those restrictions.
or it's just a cold reminder how overly bloated today's games are.
those Uber programmers are still out there. mostly they write for embedded systems now.
any fool can make a game take up 100 Meg of ram, only a true programmer can make taking up all that ram worthwhile.
