Zelda Master Sword Forged For Fan

An anonymous reader writes "Do you pretend you are the Hero of Time in your sleep? Are you the biggest Zelda fan on the block? Well, take a gander at what this Zelda fan owns... a real-life replica of the famous Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series." The article mentions: "After a ten-month wait period and a £1,800 transaction (around $3,300)... He probably doesn't have pictures of it because this is really copyright infringement. Or trademark infringement. Or something.

It's not unlikely that he put several hours into it. I've read that it can take at least a hundred hours to make a sword with the traditional methods. If you think about it from that perspective, a custom sword, at 100 hours, at $30 an hour, seems reasonable. It's a one-of-a-kind blade, and looks to be quite well made.
