US Government Upgrades RAM
Deep Throat writes "Techworld has the scoop on a new super-sized RAM disk that the US government has just bought for a few million dollars in order to speed up searching through huge databases. It's 2.5TB! The VP of the company that made it says it is for Washington DC and searching databases but won't say who. Techworld explains why it reckons it's the Department of Homeland Security searching in the NSA and Pentagon databases for terrorists. And apparently the government is 'very happy' with the purchase and thinking about getting more."

John Kerry claimed yesterday that certain "foreign leaders" have told him that they're rooting for him to defeat President Bush. "I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly, but boy, they look at you and say, 'You've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy,' things like that," Kerry told a crowd while campaigning in Hollywood, Fla.
Kerry's campaign wouldn't give any details about the identities of the leaders or the countries in his cheering section.
"It's no secret that this administration has squandered a lot of the good will that we received after Sept. 11," campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said.
Asked if the "foreign leaders" were heads of state or lower-ranking officials like ambassadors, Cutter said, "That's all I can say."
Bush campaign spokesman Terry Holt said, "Kerry's foreign friends may prefer him as U.S. president, but the election is in the hands of the American people."
Kerry also predicted Republicans would try to "tear down" his reputation, and his wife's, in the eight-month campaign.
"It's going to be hard fought, they're going to do everything possible to tear down my character personally [and that of] Teresa. That's the way they operate," referring to wife Teresa Heinz Kerry.

So I broke down and signed up for the OSDN Personals. I was thinking that it would be kinda cool to hook up with a chick that has a clue about what I am talking about. Boy, what a mistake.
Initially, it didn't seem too bad. There were a few of the expected email solicitations from the frighteningly ugly or grotesquely obese women. Then there were a couple for 40+ year old divorcees with several kids. I could fend these off easily but, I wasn't prepared for what happened next.
I started getting solicitations from gay Slashdotters. At first just a few but, the number kept growing until it finally became a torrent. They won't leave me alone. These homo wackos are stalking me hijacking my PC and my cell phone. I've completely abandoned email because of it but, they won't stop. I've even had a few track down my physical address and now they are stalking me.
These Slashdot homos are scaring the life out of me. I have called the police several times on them but, they keep on coming. Fat, pimply, pasty white, homosexual (or asexual) piles of filth that exude a stench that is offensive from 100 yards away. It is just unbelievable.
What ever you do, beware of OSDN personals and the Slashdot homos.

I think you're confused. About many things, but mostly Haiti. Hispaniola was purged of all it's natives by the Spanish in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 17th century, France built a colony on the western end of the island called Hati, filling that end with all these French people, inducing Spain to give the western third of the island to France. France grew sugar there with large numbers of African slaves through around 1800, when the slaves quit taking that shit and killed all the French people. Then they took turns killing eachother until 1990, when they decided to try some democracy and elected Jean-Bertrand Aristide president. Then they tried to kill him, so he ran away until the UN told Clinton to sent some marines to give him his job back. He got elected again in 2000, but some old people voted for Buchanan and they tried to kill him again, so Bush told him to fuck the hell off before we bust a cap in your ass. Then the UN told Clin^H^H^H^HBush to send some marines to give him his job back.
There's no island, really, the French haven't given a shit since 1804, and nothing's happened yet for anyone to look at, besides the traditional post-election coup and Bush being an asshole to Aristide.
