Strudelkugel writes "CRN reports SQL Server 'Yukon' will slip to 2005, complicating plans for ISVs and creating opportunities for OSS and other competitors."
This has been on many many sites for a long time... I really wish the/. editors would read some other news sites before posting this out-of-date information.....
Also I only use MySQL:)

First, Longhorn keeps getting delayed, and now SQL Server is delayed until 2005. This is going to help Microsoft's open source competition greatly.

Longhorn has slipped, and look what has happened. You only have to look at KDE 3.2 to see its power.
Gnomes plans for 3.x look promising too, which they will proceed on after gnome 2.6!
Postgresql and firebird will be the same answer for databases.
