An anonymous user writes, "Apple announced it has begun shipping its Xserve G5, the most powerful Xserve yet, to customers. Single processor is $2,999.00, dual processor is $3,999.00."
SCO is demanding that all *nixes pay $699 for licensing
One of the requirements is that the licensee enjoy teabagging and smoking cock.
Drawing upon the facts: Mac OS X is a BSD, a target of SCO, and is primarily used by cocksmokers and teabaggers. Thus some of the cost of this $2999 G5 server is borne in SCO licensing fees. That about sums up the situation.
Whats the point ?

What is the point of getting servers form apple? One could get server Blades for IBMs Blade center for less than what the apple servers cost. Not to mention that the IBM ppc 970s have 8mb L3 cache and are true dual core chips (not like that intel hyperthreading crap)
Hopefully the rumors will hold...

and we'll see a G5 powerbook to complete the line by the end of the year. I know I will be ready to order one when they are released.
