Spammer's Porsche Up For Grabs
gaurab writes "Anti-Spammers would love this. In this news piece, the BBC reports that AOL is putting up a Porsche it seized from a spammer last year in a sweepstakes. What next -- 'Spammer's House' in another sweepstakes? Is this the sign of things to come? From the story:
'Internet giant AOL has ratcheted up the war against unsolicited e-mail with a publicity-grabbing coup -- an online raffle of a spammer's seized Porsche. AOL won the car -- a $47,000 Boxster S -- as part of a court settlement against an unnamed e-mailer last year.'"
Jennifer, I love you!
I just heard the sad news on NPR, Alistair Cook is dead at 95. Even if you never heard his Letters From America on the BBC maybe you saw him introduce master peice theatre. Truly a English Icon.
Why are there no comments yet? Everyone's gone for the Porsche already?

The problem with Porsche owners is that they are a bunch of stuck-up weenies. I used to have a 914, and "real" Porsche owners would turn their nose up at it and smile, saying, "that's not a REAL Porsche." The vast majority of Porsche owners are more concerned with being able to say "I have a Porsche" and the "prestige" that comes with owning one than actually being concerned with build quality, racing heritage, etc.
I'll betcha that in another couple of years since the used price of a Boxster (not S) is down to the sub or below $20k price range now, that soon the 911 crowd will claim that it's not a real Porsche either. Porsche's must cost AT LEAST $60k to be considered REAL.
I sincerely hope that Porsche falls flat on their face with the Cayenne. What a slap in the face for their heritage! They should be making cars that anyone who wants a Porsche can afford. Then, I'll have more respect for them.
