Why Mobile Phones Are Annoying

griffinn writes "Jakob Neilsen recently conducted a study comparing the perceived annoyance level of two commuters having a face-to-face conversation and one commuter talking on the mobile phone. Interestingly enough, subjects were also asked whether the ring tone is annoying, and people didn't find the ring to be particularly bad."

The "Best Office Weapon" poll was getting rather annoying by not getting updated to a new one. Alas! /. lost out on a good poll idea.

I just thought I would mention that your "In Soviet Russia" sig doesn't make sense. An "In Soviet Russia" joke isn't done by negating the sentence and using Yoda word order. It is done by swapping the nominative noun with the objective noun, which means that you have to have a sentence with a subject and an object. "This is funny" does not have an object, and so there is nothing to swap, which is, I assume, why you just made the word order weird.
