You can use this to see the effects. I particularly like the overpressure values. Good predictor of mayhem.

Hm... According to that page, if my car lands in Chicago at 75 miles/second, I should be able to survive, but everybody south of around Kalamazoo gets roasted.
Just one of those little things that might come in handy for future refernece...

Don't waste your time in this dead and useless article. It's all happening in the Apple section, with the Hungarian Language OS X Release.
SOHO (Solar & Heliospheric Observatory) is a joint mission of ESA and NASA. The on board telescope has a coronograph: that is it masks out the sun central body to permit the study of the outer part of the Sun's atmosphere (that is known as the corona). This makes it also great for the observation of comets when they do a "very close to the sun" passage.
The home page is here and the Bradfield comet images are (for the moment) here .

So come on over and open your ears, to learn.
So is that a telescope in a Small Office/Home Office? Or in a strip club in London?

Interesting? No more interesting than any other raving lunatic on a street corner.
