BlackAura on Dreamcast Emulation/Homebrew Scene
Wraggster writes "Over at DCEmu.co.uk, we have an interesting interview with the author of NxDoom, NxQuake (both excellent ports to the Sega Dreamcast) and also a Genesis/Megadrive emulator for the Dreamcast called Genesis Plus. Check out the interview with BlackAura."
I took an X-BOX with a folder full of warez (all the top titles) to my friends kid's birthday party
Do you know what they played all night? - SNES games !
Nothing beats 8bit for pick up and playability.
There are places where the networks are not touching, and there are places where they are-Boeing's Lori Gunter
As the other reply said, it's alive and well in the underground scene: modds, homebrew games, all sorts of stuff. But it's also not dead in the commercial scene. Dreamcast hardware is still used in arcade cabinets, as was mentioned a couple months back in the article about SNK dropping the aging NeoGeo hardware in their Arcade systems.
Or for those who are lazy and have access to a good choice of Dreamcast games, about $30 more and you got yourself a cheap $~50 system, 2 controllers, and a (couple) game(s). Not bad if you're trying to stretch your money.
There are still offical games coming for DC in Japan as well. Of course most are ports of Dating sims but they did get Capcom VS SNK 2 and also SVC Chaos

CvS2 yes, but not SVC Chaos. There are plenty of excellent shooters still trickling onto the market though, such as Border Down, Psyvariar 2, and the latest, Castle of Shikigami 2.
