New Polymer Ideal For Secure Data Storage

aphexbrett writes "Clever geometry is the basis of a new material that is said to be ideal for secure data encryption and dense optical information storage. The material consists of a lattice of onionlike spheres in which the particle core and its layers each contain a different dye. The material can hold four or more pieces of information in one spot--not just two as in binary optical data storage. And it opens a door to high-density three-dimensional optical data storage.     Senetor Chuck Hegel says it may be time to fire up the draft!

    Of course they probably won't do until after you reelect Bush, it would be political suicide before the election.

    But after November the coast is clear and we can fire up the draft!

    I mean you supported the war didn't you?! Well now you can REALLY show your support! By going to Iraq and fighting! Isn't that great! It's like a dream come true now all the hawks that wanted this war so bad will actually get to go fight it!

    Oh ya, and they will be coming for the unemployed people first so get ready! Who knows after you risk life and limb rebuilding Iraq your corporation that you work for will outsource your job to Iraq! Sweet! Free trade rocks!

    Quite frankly, I am not an American but I am still afraid of the lunacy that would be unleashed on us all if GWB got four more years. I fear not only for the USA but for the entire world. If I remember correctly, two of your Supreme Court justices will retire soon and that means that GWB's legacy would live on for decades.

    I have hard time understanding what kind of a personality would find GWB as a good, convincing and effective leader in the first place. Is it just the flagwaving and scaremongering or is there anything substancial in him? I can understand the big money interests, but when it comes to your Joe Sixpack, why would he vote for GWB?

    till i can actully buy one of these cheaper per gig than a harddrive at the local computer store, it dosent mean a damn thing to me. Thats the thing about these sorts of stories about research, its gonna be a bloody decade till it comes out, if it dosent get bogged down along the way.

    I's can fit all me documents on a sinle floppy. I's dont know what all da fuss is about these new fangled opticle drives. Cant they fit a couple of my floppies on them?
