The First-Ever Installfest in Egypt
"The atmosphere was just unbelievable; people who had had linux installed realised the LUGgers were overwhelmed and stayed on helping other people with installs, we couldn't burn CDs fast enough, several thousand educational pamphlets were not enough by a wide margin. We were expecting maybe 150 or 200 people throughout the day, but we had already reached that number by 9:45 a.m. (15 minutes before opening!). To the best of our knowledge, the most successful LUG-driven event in the middle-east, certainly the biggest, and one hell of a day that we'll all remember. Note that we are now looking at the possibility of another Installfest during summer at the Bibliotecha Alexandrina and would welcome any extra resources. (A big thanks to MadFarmAnimalz' family who served the volunteers sandwiches carefully wrapped in copies of the GPL preamble and the deCSS code)"
I'll fuck you in the ass for seven hours, windows faggot.
Wow, their first installfest. It seems they are behind in the areas of reading books as well in the Arab world.
... "One of the most alarming indicators in the UN report is the fact that the quantity of books translated into Arabic is low in comparison with the number of translated books in Western countries. Some 330 books are translated into Arabic per year in all Arab states - about one-fifth of the number translated in Greece alone. Another eye-opening figure - since the ninth century, only 100,000 books have been translated into Arabic." ...
UN report gives failing grades to Arab states
If you want to see what the Middle Ages would have been like, go to a muslim country(preferably in a village) and live there, that is the closest you will get to the Middle Ages.
You let it be known that you are a muslim, and now I have no choice but to laugh at you!
Wow, typical Linux... Click click, install... So much harder than Windows, oh wait, Linux IS a Windows wannabe. Get a real UNIX distro!
No way. Those terrorist were 100% natural. Linux IS the OS of choice for terrorists. Expect to see usage statistics in the middle east jump.
