A Camaro That Leaves A Wake

Artana Niveus Corvum writes "I came across this entirely at random, but it seems like someone with too much time on his hands has taken an old idea and improved on it... and come up with something truly unique and cool: a car based on a 2002 Camaro body with a Subaru WRX Turbo engine (300 horsepower) capable of going over 125MPH that doubles as a boat capable of going over 40MPH."

A properly tuned WRX 2.5 litre turbo can put out about 320 horsepower. Since that is coming out of 4 small cylinders, rather than 8 large ones, the weight of the engine is miniscule compared to that of a Z28. Yes there is turbo lag, but the weight difference and significantly flatter power curve of the 2.5 makes it a better choice for more advanced applications.

He didn't actually start with a Camero, just a Camero funny car type shell for looks. Then he stuck the WRX engine in the custom frame he built. He didn't swap out the Camero engine for the WRX engine.
