U.S. Gov Agency Blunders With Keyword Blacklist
Anonymous Submitter writes "There's an interesting CNet article which highlights a report released by the OpenNet Initiative. The report examines how "a U.S. government agency charged with fighting Iranian and Chinese Internet censorship is quietly censoring the Web itself". Among some of the sites this U.S. agency accidentally blocks are breastcancer.com, teens.drugabuse.gov, several gay rights websites, and even usembassy.state.gov. Some of the members of the group who prepared this report were responsible for a previous Slashdot discussion entitled "Academics Take On Government Net Censorship". The report raises questions about the potential inaccuracy of proprietary and other secretive filtering mechanisms: who should be responsible for ensuring their accuracy?"

"Pretty soon Russia will be more free than America."
The terrorists have won. Americans now know what it feels like to live in a small, weak country on the losing side of a global political divide. Forced to oppress its people or open the doors for foreign funded espionage and insurgency. (Not like the US would spy on another country or fund militants to violently overthrow another sovereign government.)
Time to start finding the next neutral and isolationist budding young country to setup as the bastion of freedom. Too bad this one didn't make it to see 300.
Hmmmm... simple DNS filters eh?
1. Create a website with a very innocent domain name
2. On it, provide manual DNS-to-IP links (i.e. sl4shd0t -> http://66.35.250.151
3. ???
4. Profit!
Ok, pay attention to period placement:
