Redesigned iConsole for Ford Explorer

Jesse Melchior writes "After all the attention I received from the iPod mini install, I decided to come up with an entirely new design, focusing on usability, functionality, and incorporating the 2nd and 3rd generation iPod into the mix. You now have the opportunity to purchase your own iConsole (that's what I'm calling it, temporarily) for the Ford Explorer Sport. To avoid any legal battles, the iConsole will not be shipping with the Apple logo. Custom install requests will be addressed as soon as possible."

As much as I'd love to see everyone drive around in geo metros or honda insights, can I say one thing:

No, really. I own a Grand Marquis. People call it an old man's car, but the thing will carry shit and my sorry sack of bones more comfortably than other vehicles I test drove.

My girlfriend drives an F150. It comes in very handy when we do improvements to the house, in addition to her only driving 1 mile to work one way a day.

Neither of these vehicles are "top of their class" in fuel efficiency. In fact, the F150 is downright miserable. However, neither I nor my girlfriend can AFFORD to go buy a tiny gas sipper since we have vehicles that currently fit our needs.

Jesus Christ, I understand that people need to be aware of the damage they can do to the environment. Just because you want me to buy one won't put the money in my damn checkbook.
