Sun writes "Flexbeta.net received from Specops Labs screenshots "proving" that project David (previously covered here) is a real thing. The demo.... Office 2000 install. This is something both Wine and CrossOver Office know how to do for quite some time. In a discussion on wine-devel some people noticed evidence inside the screenshots that project David is a CrossOver Office ripoff."

    I don't believe it. They used GIFs for the screenshots. Somebody needs to knock some sense into these people. This does not reflect well on their computer literacy.

    As I was saying on my blog, I don't think the open source community really needs to kowtow to the subtleties of Windows. Abandoning them have allowed us to go to great places.

      Oh, and am I wrong, or does this... mean they're trying to get your browser to send them the contents of your clipboard?

      Yessirree Bob. If you take a look at what they call StatsMeasure, you can see for yourself what these trolls are doing with your clipboard data.

    It's actually based on the stolen SCO code like everything else useful in Linux.

    There is one thing we have to remember: *BSD is dying. Due to the troubles of Walnut Creek, abysmal sales and so on, FreeBSD went out of business and was taken over by BSDI who sold another troubled OS. Now BSDI too is out of business, and its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house.

    All major surveys show that *BSD has steadily declined in market share. *BSD is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If *BSD is to survive at all it will be among OS hobbyists, dabblers, and dilettantes. *BSD continues to decay, and nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time; for all practical purposes, *BSD is dead.

    Isn't this a well known phrase because it's the shortest (grammaticlaly correct) sentence that uses all 26 letters?
