    The Bush family would oppose invasion. The war is not about oil, it is about oil profits.

      The underlying causes are twofold:
      1. protection and extension of American oil hegemony. Bush's oil buddies have received sweetheart contracts and deals that fattens their pocketbooks.

      2. Israel protection. Nearly every one of the planners (Wolfowitz, Bremer, Cheney, etc. ) are avowed Zionists and/or Christian fundamentalists. They yearn for the day that all threats to Israel are eradicated. Saddam was one of them. The planned American embassy in Baghdad will be to the benefit of Israeli interests.
