    From the Press Release:
"DOOM 3 is the most anticipated PC game of the year and fans around the world are eagerly awaiting its release,"
I think they mean decade, not year.

Yeah...riight...How long have we been waiting for DOOM III and other such sequels such as Duke Nukem, etc. You would think companies such as iD would have some sort of vested interest in actually putting these games quickly to market. In the meantime, I won't hold my breath for any of this vaporware....

I'm better off playing MAME on my linux box anyway... :)

Four years after the infamous.plan update, and two years since the public. I just hope this is a real release date, and not a Valve-ish "well, you know, even though we said this year, we really meant next year, sorry" one.

And where's the Mac client? (Not that I own one fast enough to run it, I'm sure.)

Trent left the project as it was taking too long and he wanted to get started on a new album. As far as I know none of the work he did will end up in the final game.

Yeah sure, and I'll bet Mozilla 1.0 will be out at the same time.
