tplayford writes "On the third anniversary of Douglas Adams death, the makers of the 'Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy' film have released their website, with a photo of the whole crew and a blog. I'm trying not to panic, but I just can't wait for the film to come out."

Having characters called things like Slartibartfast and Zloat kind of makes me think he was taking stabs in the dark at writing a having a huge joke over on his readers/consumers.

I may well be the only person on the planet (or at least the only one over 40) who never read the orginal book. I did pop over to the website to see if it tells the viewer anything about the movie but it does not. I don't think it does. I do know, from the site, that Douglas Adams died three years ago but I don't know who he is. The author? This appears to be a web site that is very much for insiders.....

If I install Flash I'll be subjected to obtrusive and noisy ads that slow my system down while they download, load, and render. Moreover, what flash content is out there is not enough to justify having it on my system - 99% of its usage is unnecessary and a general bother.

Flash is far from harmless, it's a major pain in the ass. I don't care if it gives me HGTTG movie info or the second coming of Jesus, keep that bother off my machine.

*Misses the days when Javascript and Flash wern't even thoughts yet*

What a POS site that cannot be viewed WITHOUT flash. What a pity.
