Internet Grocery Shopping Slowly Gaining Ground
bakreule writes "Online grocery shopping, once the laughing stock of the internet, has quietly started gaining ground. It seemed that the idea had been killed shortly after the bust as being just another bomb. The article has some good interviews and details to show how this industry is developing and whether or not this surprising growth can continue. I'm interested in seeing how grocery product advertising will be affected in this highly competitive industry."
Actually, that has been the centre of Fresh Direct's business model. As a busy cybersecurity consultant, my wife (a high-powered lawyer) and I (a busy cybersecurity consultant and freedom fighter) rarely have time to go to the supermarket. I don't think the Internet would like it very much if I started waiting in line behind Freddy Food-Stamp and Clara Coupon all day.
I ordered two kilogrammes of tomatoes from Fresh Direct. My personal chef claimed that they were without exception the freshest and most juicy that she's ever used. The bruschetta she baked using them was exquisite and pleased our guests mightily.
In short, I highly recommend FreshDirect.
