Blackberry In Court Again Over Patents

uqbar writes "Looks like Research in Motion (RIM), the Canadian makers of the portable Blackberry email device, are back in court again. If patent holding company NTP wins their case, then RIM would be barred from selling Blackberry pagers in the US and would owe $54 million. Is this yet another case of overreaching patents gone amok?" We previously covered the original ruling in this case in August 2003.

My guess is that the grandparent poster went to a Libertarian school, but since you have to pay for each word that you want to learn to spell he couldn't afford to learn to spell all of them correctly. That's the disadvantage of being stupid enough to choose parents without money. I'm not knocking him though, because I made a similar mistake. If I had known better, I would have chosen parents who were a little more wealthy.

If litigation is the cost of doing business in the US, then I say leave them to it. They'll soon come crawling back on their hands and knees...
