Seagate Rolls Out 400 GB SATA Drives
SenorCitizen writes "Seagate is the first hdd manufacturer to announce 400 GB 3.5" hard drives. The 7200.8 is SATA native and comes with buffer sizes up to 16 MB. Seagate also announced a 2.5" portable external hard drive with 100 GB, and an external USB2 pocket hard drive with 5 GB. Get leeching!"
I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.
Now i need to go get more fucking pr0n, motherfuckers!
in other words, WHO CARES?
Mmmmmm.... 400GB of Pr0n. Because there is no such thing as too much!
This is offtopic, but what happened to the article on Opensource Pharmacy?
The subscribers could see an article, and out of the blue it disappeared and this article came in it's place.
Did anyone else notice this? Weird.
into a hot bath?
I'm still using a 20MB drive from a Mac SE!!!
Can anyone confirm this? I can find no evidence to corroborate this on the BSD website. Nice try trickster, you won't fool me again.
Heh. You bit.
It is official; Netcraft confirms: IIS is dying
One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered IIS community when IDC confirmed that IIS market share has dropped yet again, now down to less than a 25 percent of all servers. Coming on the heels of a recent Netcraft survey which plainly states that IIS has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. IIS is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in a recent comparison.
You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict IIS's future. The hand writing is on the wall: IIS faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for IIS because IIS is dying. Things are looking very bad for IIS. As many of us are already aware, IIS continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood.
IIS is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core developers. The sudden and unpleasant departures of long time IIS developers Embalmer and Pearly Gates only serve to underscore the point more clearly. There can no longer be any doubt: IIS is dying.
Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.
SCO/GNAA leader Darl McBride states that there are 10858168 users of IIS. "That's a drop of 0.13 percent from last month. Don't worry Bill, we've got you covered, we will be filling a lawsuit against the Apache Foundation for code theft from SCO Unix to the Apache web server, we can't show anyone this code yet, as they may remove it."
All major surveys show that IIS has steadily declined in market share. IIS is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If IIS is to survive at all it will be among web server dilettante dabblers. IIS continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, IIS is dead.
Fact: IIS is dying
Nice. I was actually typing in a response and went and did something else, came back and submitted. By then I was late. Se la vi.
I think the "Coward" part of "Anonymous Coward" best describes this person.
