Yahoo Boosts Email Space in response to Gmail

coleslawjoe writes "This article at New York Times explains that Yahoo has decided to boost their E-mail space (Soul sucking registration required) from their current 4 megabytes to 100 in response to Gmail. They are also planning to offer 2 gig mailboxes for $19.99(USD)."

    So my free account was boosted to 100 Mb this morning and my $20/yr. account has 2Gb and no ads. Very cool. They also seemed to update the interface with CSS...

    The upgrade is available as of this morning. This is certainly a benefit for me, as I use my Yahoo mail account a lot and the spam filter is as good as it gets IMHO.

    Both Yahoo and Google (and possibly a lot of other sites, including www.microsoft.com) are down right now.
    They all use Akamai (akadns.net) for their DNS, and that's what's down.

    Well, for one thing, I've changed my ISP a number of times since I've set up my Yahoo account.
