Am I the only one sort of surprised after the amount of money lost on the other FF movie, that a studio would approve a budget to produce this one?

I remember being disappointed. I think it was overhyped or something because I found it slow moving and dull. As well the how spirtual message wasn't deep or insightful as my friends had make it out to me.
Same with crouching tiger hidden dragon. I guess for some North Americans these Japanese movies are just not cutting it.
... but is it good enough to make up for the last Matrix movie? *shudders*
I've sworn off entertainment completely since I heard that blind Neo is teaming up with Chaka Khan to entertain the Merovingian in the next film, Matrix:Chicago (the musical). But I should've guessed this would happen, since the warning signs were all there.
Sigh... anime may be dead to me now, but they can never take away the classics of cinema.
