Indiana Launches Statewide Productivity System
TaylorJo writes "Lt. Governor of Indiana Kathy Davis today unveiled a new technology program designed to give all Hoosiers free access to a full suite of computer software tools. The SimIndiana software permits residents to access their personal files and applications from any computer at any time. The software can be downloaded on the SimIndiana site, but requires Windows, and registration on the site, to use it. The program also provides an email address and remote storage on SimIndiana servers."
Here's a nice overview of Gary, Indiana by ABC... with some nice attacks at white people thrown in.
An interesting quote from the losing opponent to the first white mayor for Gary Indiana in 30 years (Gary is roughly 85% black):
"The best qualification that I felt, at that particular time, for Mayor King to become mayor of the city of Gary was the fact that he was white"
The ever wonderful Al Shaprton proclaimed that electing a white man was like "like spitting on [the] graves" of civil rights activists. Because that's what the civil rights acitivists were all about, making sure only black people were in charge, instead of white people!
