Military on Alert for Killer Coke Cans

DigitalLogic writes "There's a new security threat at some of the nation's military bases -- and it looks uncannily like a can of Coke. All I can think of is that a furby with a coke can must be the military's worse nightmare."

This story is so "last week". This was on FoxNews.com days ago. Couldn't the editors find something, amongst the piles of rejected story submissions, that is more newsworthy than this?

The military is really protective about their own privacy, but when it comes to snooping in on the regular communications of you and me, why, what is this privacy you speak of?!

Maybe they just don't want people to listen in on how many screw ups they keep making or how many trillions they've blown on torturing iraqis

All I want to know is what the hell is our government doing that they have to protect their secrets with this all or nothing attitude. I mean it, I can see protecting a list of people in WITSEC or an agent identity list. But this whole national security thing is getting way out of hand. It seems national security has become, "We cant let the American people find out what we are doing". As far as utility records, those records have been public for so long that no matter what we do with them, anyone who wanted the info already has it. So dont give me the terrorist bullcrap, hiding the paperwork is not going to make a physical water supply safer. Putting guards to watch it will, OH YEAH!! that would cost more so we must spend 100,000,000 (40% of which goes into some politico's pocket) to protect some useless paper and our water supplies and power stations go unguarded. What a crock o shit this current admin is.
