crmartin writes "NASA has released a web story about the sounds recorded aboard the Cassini spacecraft as it pased through the Rings. The story includes a Quicktime file of the hailstorm-like sounds of Ring particles impacting."

    Space is a vaccuum. Sound waves do NOT travel in a vaccuum. Nothing can be heard in space.

    Do all of you realize how easy all this is to fake? NASA has quite a racket going on. Because the government needs to funnel an extra 7 billion into Iraq, they took it out of NASA's budget and asked them to mock up all the results so that you'll believe these programs are actually working. All NASA has to do is use Photoshop to make some concentric rings, run a blur filter over some existing planet pics to make Titan photos, and rub a microphone on some Velcro to make all this "amazing" crap they've been giving us.
