New Phone Uses WLAN or Cel Networks
Reefa writes "Avaya, Motorola and Proxim this week are expected to announce a co-developed handset and enterprise network gear that let mobile phone users roam between cellular networks and wireless LANs to make/receive calls.
The phone uses SIP to make calls when on the WLAN network and switches to using cellular network when out of WLAN coverage and vice versa. The device also supports Push-To-Talk over SIP. BTW, the phone runs WinCE."
i always have bad luck with windows :p ... i do not own defective hardware.. and the laptop is quite standart device and i am not to stupid to install windows :p
they are always quite unstable (2000/XP) and things stop to work really fast
i get a lot of BSoD and other trouble
like missing folder icons in explorer on my laptop when the main drive is != C:
heck win2k once even found a 5 1/4 " diskdrive in my laptop
no
i think many people are so used to M$ quirks that they avoid them and after some time forget about them
but enough of 2k/xp bashing
i got a few windows mobile (2002/2003) smart phones from my employee to test
try to select a contact to call while driving, you could watch 3 pr0ns at the same time while driving and it would be way saver
if you ignore this and spontaneous signal losses and other strang behavior
you get a phone with plenty functionality
stop supporting microsoft with pirating their software!!!!!
