Gates Gets Government Guards for Gala
Nick Irelan writes "The home of the world's richest man was a 'temporary security zone' when he held a party for members of the National Governors Association. Bill's guests included Newt Gingrich, Tommy Thompson, and Leon Panetta. Gates also put in $150,000 for the governors' meeting held the next day. News.com covered this story very well." If your invitation to Gates' place got "lost in the mail", you can read about a Microsoft intern who got to have dinner with the big cheese.
Did he block up all the windows in his house to make sure it didn't turn bright blue and offend someone?
I like muppets.
...if in the next few months, several M$ wins are announced. Then once again, Linux zealots will cry foul. For America, I have come to realize that ego is more often than not, the most important thing. After all, there is an un-written rule that goes, "fire and hire at will". Whether a candidate can match the responsibilities of the job or not, is an after-thought. Software will be the candidate this time. Even then, blame is passed on till the smallest man is held responsible. We in Canada have inherited a few of these traits. We call this particular one "...Passing the buck...". It is very nasty when you cannot find a victim to pass the buck onto...! Welcome to capitalism the American way.
didn't try to kill the antichrist? oh well maybe hell get so drunk he'll die :)
Some software money can't buy. For everything else there's Micros~1
