140" Monitor Demonstration At Purdue

michaelpapet.com writes "Edward J. Delp, a researcher at Purdue University is working with Philips to make a monster 140" monitor using 4 projectors on a single screen. Article claims it would be good for National Security... I dunno, I see this being the only way to satisfy 'big screen envy.'"

    Doom 3 has the shittiest gameplay ever!

    I thought after half-life we would never be subjected to another brainless on a rail no plot shooter game from a major publisher but I was very wrong.

    I would play doom 3 on this thing but it would be waaaay to fucking boring!

    It definitely would rock for the first 10 minutes until the "oooh shiny" of the graphics wears off...but then it would be pretty fucking tedious to have to play it.

    Doom 3 has been massively pirated this weekend, at record highs. Apparently, it's shaping up to be one of the most pirated games ever. Estimates are that id Software has lost up to 2 million dollars. Activision isn't saying anything at this point. Gamespot and the BBC both have articles on the news. The PC Gamer editor has some words for the pirates in the BBC article. This setback is set to cost Activision and id Software millions.
