Ben Kingsley To Co-Star In BloodRayne Game-Based Movie

vansau writes "Ben Kingsley, the Oscar-winning actor for his role in Gandhi, has signed on to star in the upcoming BloodRayne movie alongside Kristanna Loken (the T-X in Terminator 3.) Kingsley will play Rayne's (Loken) vampiric father, Kagan." We've previously covered director Uwe Boll's inspiring words on this movie, and Metafilter has plenty of comments on Boll's newly released Alone In The Dark trailer.

That "Alone in the Dark" trailer is quite possibly the worst trailer I've ever seen. Were it not for Slater and Tara Reid, I would assume it was merely a bad cutscene from a bad game.

A military junkie friend told me tracers are all wrong too.

Awful, AWFUL looking film. Of course, what do you expect from the idiot who directed "House of the Dead", a movie that has 2.7 out of 10 on IMDB, and is considered by many to be the worst movie made in recent times.

    Boll... He's a 21st century Ed Wood.

There's another trailer that's not nearly as bad. Anybody want to lay odds that Boll cut the worse of the two himself?

This trailer - it wasn't too bad - but what kind of a movie is it going to be? Apart from using the Carnby name, I don't see the connection with the game and the movie.

Seriously.. in the IMDB description, they at least mention Abkanis, but nothing in the cast about the Morton family? There were two other agents in the game (speaking about Alone in the Dark 4), but they were only on the radio and beginning/end cut-scenes.

I got excited when I saw that they were maknig a movie out of this game. I really enjoyed playing this game over the last year or so (hey.. real job, life, etc.. not much time to play games)

I just re-watched "Sexy Beast" yesterday. What a 180-degree character turn from what Kingsley played in Ghandi. Fantastic portrayal of a relentlessly brutal character.

I still say that this movie was already made. Quite probably much better (rather sad, really) than this one will be. Who did not immediatly think of Bloodrayne when they saw Underworld. I don;t see how infusing that movie with nazies is going to help.
