QuakeCon id Software Keynote Coverage

Well, John is a father of a baby boy as of yesterday, so he was not here for his traditional talk on what id is up to. Instead, he appeared on pre-recorded video, followed by normal Q and A session with other id personnel. AMDZone has full coverage of the id keynote, including some pics for your enjoyment. If you want to know about the next engine, the Xbox, OS X, and Linux ports, id's standing on piracy, or Carmack's vision of game engines for movie rendering, then give it a read."       Sorry, I'm drunk.. Just go home from a night out, took a quick look at slashdot and saw that a story with no comments. I've been reading slashdot for some years now and this is the first time I've had a chance to make a first post, so I couldn't resist it. Well this post is going nowhere and has nothinh to do with the story at all, so I'll sign off here...

      Well I've thought of making a post to slashdot many times - but those times I've had something sensible to say. This time however, I couldn't really think of anything to say that had to do with the story, or anything else at all, but what the hell, I'm drunk and just got home from some café where I've been listening to some boring DJ's, who could think of nothing better than to stand still on the stage, occasionally fiddling with their synths and turntables, constantly blinding me with some laser thingie. But afterall, making a first post to slashdot is a funny feeling.
      Oh, this was a really boring post.... Well.. Hmm.. But kind of nice to have posted to slashdot after all this time...
      Hmm... I better go to bed, or read slashdot the rest of the night...

      Not a stupid question at all. Just reading other people's comments, sometimes thinking that I should reply, but never actually done it.
      Well, there's almost always been somebody with the same opinion as me posting, and I've thought that my posts would be redundant. So there you have... I hope that I will be able to post something worthwhile to some story that I actually care about sometime...
