Education Via Video Games

An anonymous reader writes "According to Wired/AP, food stamp recipients will now receive video games instead of brochures and pamphlets, in an effort to educate them on how to get the most benefit. One wonders why someone that can't afford food would have spent money on a computer on which to play these games."

I work from 9 to 6 dumb ass.

You lost me in the jump between "wage slave" and some sorry excuse to keep your post on topic by mentioning games and then finally aiming at the penguin.

Most zombies, like you put it, work from 9 to 5 "selling their lives very cheaply" to support their family and don't have high ideals at all.

You lack insight on the growing importance of software, and how it will relate to personal freedom in the near future, if not even today.
If you consider your freedom a cause not worth fighting for, then you're the type of person that would give it up for something stupid... like money.

Oh shut the fuck up. At the end of the day, you eat, you sleep, and you fuck. That's it. Nothing else, nothing more. Software, like everything else civilised society has produced means nothing.

People are just monkeys in shoes. Do you think a monkey gives a fuck about "the growing importance of software?" No, he concentrates on the important stuff -- eating, sleeping, fucking, and taking a huge shit all over your shiny new possessions.

And in doing so, the monkey understands the true meaning of freedom.

And they have no one that they can swap child care time with?

No, because they're not in the same state as the family with which one would swap child care time. Swapping child care time requires that the families be within walking distance so that family 1 can watch family 2's children and family 2 can watch family 1's children.
