Locus Interviews Neal Stephenson

Embedded Geek writes "Locus, the trade magazine of Science Fiction, has an interview with Neal Stephenson in their August issue. Excerpts can be found here. A teaser: 'The world of the 'Baroque Cycle' happens to be 99% factual history, or as close as I can come to it, but what readers of this kind of fiction are looking for is the ability to become immersed in a different world. That's why there is a big crossover between historical fiction and SF.' An interesting read for his long time fans or anyone just wondering what all the fuss is about." So this is a teaser for a teaser, but this makes me want to shell out the $8.

If you liked Snow Crash, you must be retarded. A glorious masturbatory book thrilling only to teenage boys who like to jerk off to fantasy women, Snow Crash was the ultimate cybertrash junk writing. Sure it had some entertainment value, just as watching little Iraqi children getting blown up by US troops is entertaining. His subsequent novels are no different.

Which reminds me... I should contact Fox for my latest reality TV series, "Iraqi Survivor. Every week, another Iraqi child will get voted off the show, and we'll see it all in glorious technicolor as American B-52s fly overhead and drop a bunker buster right on the kid's head. Special cameras that can record up to 1000 frames per second will be used to see exactly how Iraqi children are being blown up daily by the American invaders.

Now mod this up insightful and fuck the holy spirit's cunt, you stupid whores!

Who the hell modded this as a troll?

Ignore the troll above, just look at part of the URL it directs you to i.e. www.locusmag.com, i.e. the magazine that is interviewing Mr. Stephenson.

    Goddamn gullible mods.
