ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 Reviewed
An anonymous reader writes "ViperLair reviews the ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0, a sort of low-rent option for those you want to add a TV tuner or video-in to their machines, but would prefer an outboard piece of equipment instead of cracking open their case and dropping in a daughter board."
Before you flame, read next time asshat...
I don't have any moderation points or I'd mark you as a moron. You read 1/4 the way into an article and decide you're some kinda freakin genious and they're just a bunch of idiots? Get a clue.
If you had ever in your life bothered to hook up anything with video output you would know that most devices support different output formats. The author describes them all and gives screenshots showing the video quality each offers. He also states that coax does not offer the best quality, and you should use composite or svideo if you can.
But you didn't finish reading the article. You thought you'd come over here and shoot your mouth off because all you've ever experienced in your life is coax cables. I mean, my god, how could the TV work with anything else.
Well, for starters, the author was talking about satellite recievers. But imagine if you have a dvd player or vcr you want to record from. Or even your videocamera. Hey, look at that! There's a whole lot of things out there that can output in more formats than you dreamed of.
You also think the "whole point" of the usb tv tuner is to "allow TV on the go". Again, if you had read the article you'd realize that it can be used for more than just traveling. Sure usb is the ONLY solution for a laptop, but it can also be used in other situations.
I know it's going to be hard for you, but try to give other people more credit. Next time you think someones an idiot, stop and say to yourself "hmm... maybe it's me"
Funny how I see so many opinion based posts get modded up as Insightful or Interesting.
