Bush Service Memos Questioned
Twirlip of the Mists writes "Last night, CBS News released a set of memos dated 1972 and 1973 that are purported to raise questions about President Bush's National Guard service. Some are saying those memos might have been produced with a computer. Blogger Scott Johnson ran with the story first this morning, raising questions about the typography of the memos. Blogger Charles Johnson (no relation) went one step further, actually reproducing one of the memos in its entirety using Microsoft Word's default settings.
Matt Drudge is running the story now with a link to a CNS News article that includes quotes from typography experts at font foundries Afga Monotype and Bitstream.
There's a round-up of key facts about the story on this blogger's web site." The experts in the CNS News story and others could come to no conclusion, and even if the documents are not originals or photocopies of originals, that doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't faithfully retyped copies of originals. CBS continues to assert the documents are authentic.
I get enough of this shit from mainstream media.

I put a story up yesterday about the first VVAW person to ever come out and sign an affidavit saying John Kerry pressured him to make false testimonies at the Winter Soldier Investigations. He is just starting to make the talk show circles and will most likely surface on a SBVT ad very soon.
Why wait for the old-mass-irrevalent media to pick up on the story? By the time that happens it won't be interesting and it will be gutted and spun for kerry's advantage.
Now, how is the 'disaster for the war on terrorism' relevent? What disaster? Our military has kicked the shit out of those idiots in their own back yard. Are they still hiding and killing? Sure; the Israelis have been dealing with this shit for 60 years; the British before that. But to call it disaster, when numerous incidents of terrorism have been averted - well, you *are* ready for a tin hat, aren't you?

Denial is thinking George W. Bush is not a recovered alcoholic, and that he is able to be fully mentally engaged in being a leader. Don't you see the puzzled look on his face as he reads things that are written for him?
Have you ever seen the "presidential moments" on the Late Show with David Letterman? These are network footage of George W. Bush doing something really inappropriate. According to Letterman, and a lot of people, George W. Bush doesn't really want to be there. That seems right to me. Bill Clinton, a child of severe alcoholics and severely affected by it, but not an alcoholic himself, at least has an interest in government. To me it seems that GWB has no real interest.
Look at the recent presidents:
Richard Nixon: Twenty-four of the top officials in his administration went to jail for extremely serious crimes. He himself was pardoned.
Jimmy Carter: A good man, but far too inexperienced at running large organizations to be president.
Ronald Reagan: An ACOA, Adult Child of Alcoholics. His father was a severe drunk, and very abusive. Reagan exhibited a lot of the characteristics of ACOAs.
George H. W. Bush: Raised an alcoholic. His grandchildren have severe problems with drugs. Life in the Bush family is so stressful that the children turn to drugs to try to cope:

George W. Bush's daughters seem to be imitating their alcoholic father. The BBC article, Alcohol sentence for Bush daughter, says that "Barbara and Jenna Bush were both charged." Ask yourself, why do these teenage women feel they need a drug like alcohol so badly that they are willing to break the law?
Bill Clinton: Severely affected by the fact that both of this parents were violent alcoholics. President Clinton would often seem like he was lying even when he wasn't.
George W. Bush: A recovered alcoholic. George W. Bush was arrested once for the crime of DUI and Dick Cheney twice:

DUI means "Driving Under the Influence" of alcohol. A DUI is a conviction for a very serious crime, a crime that endangers everyone on the road, a crime that often kills people. A DUI conviction means that the driver felt such a strong need to be drunk that he or she was willing to take a chance of murder.
According to his wife Laura Bush and George W. Bush himself, she threatened to leave him because of his drinking.
Denial is thinking that all of this doesn't matter. Denial is thinking that the U.S. does not have a leadership problem.
What 'Big Lie'? That is more of a left-wing strategy. ie, Michael Moore's movie/books; taking credit for the economic growth of the 90's (Must have been that huge fucking tax increase that left us with so much more to spend); taking credit for lowered violent crime rates (must have been the midnight basketball); suggesting socialism works, healthcare or otherwise (Must be the oh-so-financially stable healthcare systems in Great Britain that make you say that).... And so on.

If all of my theories are crap you need to propose a new alternative, or are you trying to deny the facts about Little George youth when he was a cocaine sniffing, drunk, partying frat boy who was constantly being bailed out of jams by his daddy. I assure there is record of little George doing community service at PUSH. I'm pretty sure a partier frat boy wouldn't do it out of the goodness of his heart. How do you explain it?
Since your tongue tied at the moment I'll help with more theories, I guess its possible CBS forged the docs but that would have been an insane thing to do on their part.
I suppose the Kerry campaign did it but again it would be insane for them to do such a piss poor job of it since it just makes them look bad.
