Assessing Internet Viruses Like Human Epidemics

Stefan Savage, a computer science professor, is quoted in the article as saying, 'We'll be focused on what vectors are used, just like in assessing West Nile, to spread computer viruses and ultimately try to develop defenses to prevent them from spreading.'"

    I think that this is very interesting. Being in San Diego (I work as a contract worker for the San Diego Supercomputer Center), I think this might be something I should check out. It sounds like an interesting idea, anyway... let's see how it works in practice.
