    It's why VHS won out over Betamax.

    Only Sony made Beta decks. Everyone else made VHS.

    It's why Microsoft won out over Macintosh.

    Only Apple made Macs. Everyone else made x86 PCs that could run DOS and Windows.

    It's not Marketing's fault when people prefer a broader market to a niche market.
