X Prize Launch At Mojave Spaceport [updated: success!]
knovis writes "The Ansari X Prize is being attempted at this moment: 9:30am EST. Bert Rutan and Paul Allen's Scaled Composites is preparing to make the first of 2 launches necessary. For the uninitiated, the X-Prize is a $10M prize available to the first entirely privately funded organization that creates a vehicle that travels to 100km above the earth's surface (low earth orbit) twice within 2 weeks. IIRC, SpaceShipOne is planning 3 flights for that 2 week period, for safety. Best of luck to Private Spaceflight. Did anyone else notice that Virgin Galactic has just been launched?"

You have no idea about what actually exists in the Bible.
The Bible does not claim that you should believe in God because it says so, the Bible does claim that if you really are open-minded and seek out the veracity of it's claims, the King of the Universe himself will come down and reveal Himself to you, satisfying all feeble demands of proof you may have.
I suggest you start with the Book of Matthew. If you don't feel inclined to read it, then I suggest you stop feeling inclined to bad mouth something that you know absolutely nothing about.
While you're at it, care to explain why Daniel presented Cyrus with a 150 year old letter written from God calling Cyrus out by name, explaining that God was appointing Cyrus by name?
The skeptics say that revisionists altered the books of Isaiah and Daniel during translation, but the translation was still made before Cyrus was around.
Another startling piece of evidence was the plethora of prophecies Christ fulfilled in one day. Oh, but the documents come from Josephus two centuries later, and certainly they had been altered before then, right? In that case, just about everything else you consider historical fact that predates Christ is equally invalid.
