This is the most retarded and flamebaited article summary ever...Bill Gates never said that Windows and Linux will be the only OSes left on the market...just the only two relevent ones.
So all you Apple fanboys can sit back down now, since Bill's not telling you your OS/religion will be dead in ten years...just that it won't be relevent, kind of like it's not relevent today.
Of course the product they do release uses twice as much memory as anything else, doesn't work as expected, introduces rand(1,20) new security holes, and includes 10x the features of competing products but only half the functionality.

To many countries, including Brazil, China, France, India, Germany, and Russia, MicroSoft Windows itself _IS_ spyware.
It is a well known fact that all versions of MS-Windows have backdoors built in, allowing US spy agencies to heck into, do something funny, and/or sabortage the "enemy system".
In light of this, who can trust MicroSoft to churn out something that can be classified as "anti-spyware" ?

Linux is still nowhere near ready for the desktop (I should add) compared to proprietary solutions such as Mac OS X or even Windows XP, which for all its warts is still more user-friendly than your typical desktop Linux distro.
I want to get modded up insightful for making up a story that either a.) never occured or b.) is based on actual events where only the character names, locations, and events have been changed.

gates is smoking teh cock. as if freebsd, or any of the other bsds are going anywhere soon. if it wasnt for firefox keeping the spyware bullshit off my system, bsd/linux not having good drivers for pro audio shit, and no real recording solution on an open source platform (although the AGNULA distro just might shape up to be THE open source recording solution), i would not be using micros0rfts shitty ass product. i would have my trusty freebsd box up front and and the rest of my boxes running gentoo or some debian distro on my desktops. fuck you bill gates.
