Halo 2 Pre-Orders Reach 1 Million

pdawerks writes "The Seattle Times is reporting that around a million copies of Halo 2 have been pre-ordered. This pre-sale figure makes the Halo sequel the highest presale in the history of videogames. So far, Microsoft has sold 5 million copies of the original Halo: Combat Evolved."

    In the U.S., Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green each received over 1 million pre-orders.

    I own HALO and it was a really good game. I am looking forward to playing HALO 2, but I have decided not to buy it new because MSFT would be making a profit. I'd rather not play it if it means that MSFT will get out of the console business.
