    I guess you never had to experience the wonderful time of having to blow,slide,alcohol swab (repeat) nintendo games. I have a system at home were I have a one percent chance of getting the game to work the first 50 times of doing the insanely obnoxious routine.

    moral of the story: all hardware, no matter what format, eventually dies.
    And with that said, yes cheerish each and every day with your dreamcast. Just like you, it has a life span.
