Toshiba To Offer Laptops With HD-DVD in 2005
LBArrettAnderson writes "Toshiba will release laptops with HD-DVD under its high-end Qosmio brand and plans to ship one million units in the first year to Europe, the U.S. and China, as well as Japan. The company claims the slimline HD-DVD format is more suitable to laptop PCs than the rival Blu-ray Disc format."

I just heard some sad news on Fox - Singer and Popstar Britney Jean Spears was found dead in her Louisana home this morning. Apparently, the cause of death was excessive bleeding after a sizzling night of hot anal sex with her ex. boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
"We were just having good sushi, and she asked me if I would please her", said Justin. Although he has turned gay after his breakup with her, Justin was willing to please Britney as long as she would take it up her ass.
Following a night of sex for 10 hours, Britney sustained an injury in her lower vaginal area and subsequently bled to death. Her husband Kevin Federline, who is spending time at federal prison for sexual advances towards Natalie "hot grits" Portman was not available for comment.
There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will surely miss her - even if you didn't enjoy her work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

If only it were true. That trailer trash skank isn't half the hottie she used to be back in '99. Sigh. Lord how I miss the underage still innocent pre-ho hottie she once was. Better for her to end it than exist as she is.
While we're on the subject of Toshiba laptops, I'd just like to mention as a happy customer that my Toshiba Satellite holds up quite well considering that it's almost three years old now and been through a lot. It has some little things that could have been better but overall I have no real complaints.
The best part about Toshiba's Satellite series: They've used the exact same battery design (with ever increasing capacity) since 386 based models. You can get brand new, genuine Tosh branded batteries from wholesalers for $30-$75 depending on capacity. Beats the heck out of any other big brand's ever changing battery design and extortionist prices.

Ok, this isn't the right place to ask this question, and I'll definately get moded down, but can someone explain to me the difference between a Pentium M and a Pentium 4. I see laptop companies selling what should be high end laptops, one with a Pentium 4 3GHz and one with a Pentium M 1.7GHz.
Is there something I'm missing about Pentium Ms that make their considerably lower speed not such a big drawback compared to the Pentium 4s? Why, if given the choice, or similar pricing, would anyone choose a Pentium M?
If someone can help me with this one, it'd be very appreciated.
