Laser Powered Virtual Display

Tedger writes "The Feature has an article discussing an interesting portable display system developed by the University of Washington. Unlike your traditional mini displays mounted in glasses this system has no display, it is a 'virtual' display created by lasers and microscopic fast moving mirrors. The image is in fact printed onto the retina and has feasibly a infinite resolution. Can anyone say true VR?"

Yeah, I know, the lasers... And don't forget, if the lasers don't blind you, the sharks will certainly get you! It's a no win situation.

Here is something that I believe is a little more important.

Due to excessive bad posting from this IP or Subnet, comment posting has temporarily been disabled. If it's you, consider this a chance to sit in the timeout corner . If it's someone else, this is a chance to hunt them down. If you think this is unfair, please email moderation@slashdot.org with your MD5'd IPID and SubnetID, which are "XXXXXXX" and "XXXXXXX" and (optionally, but preferably) your IP number "XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" and your username "roman_mir".

I started getting these yesterday while attempting to post from work. (this post is also coming from work but through a proxy.)

I emailed with the question: what's up?

Here is the response from Robert Rozeboom:

You have been downmodded too many times and are in timeout for a bit.

    ---
Well, I haven't been downmodded too many times lately. Maybe a three times within 2 weeks. I, however, have been upmoded many many times within the past 2 weeks, I provided
    Insightful
    Interesting
    Informative
    Interesting
    Funny
Informative, Insightful, Interesting, and Funny comments.

    However, I believe it is
    this Funny
comment that got me in trouble with the mods here.

    ---
Sure, Robert Rozeboom can talk all he wants about too many downmoded comments of mine (3 or 4 in 2 weeks) but I had weeks where I had way more downmodded comments than that.

So I get 'banned' for a point of view.

I actually thought this site had some integrity some time ago. I must be new here.
