Halloween Fun
RideMax writes "Forbes today has posted a nice selection of printer-friendly halloween masks, including those of several dead celebrities, and of course, this famous billionaire." An anonymous reader sent in a strange Halloween Geek Test. And another reader sent in the iPod-O-Lantern.
Actually Halloween is roughly on one of the midseason days (halfway between the equinox and the solstice). The four halfway point days tend to be just as important as the solstices and equinoxes themselves in several religions (not to mention the fact that many modern American traditional holidays sit on one of the solstices, equinoxes, and halfway points).
There's a lot more to Halloween than kids trick-or-treating. There's even more besides ghost stories and haunted houses, too. For some people it's a religious holiday, as Chistmas is for some. Saying that Halloween has passed its useful life because some parents are overreacting to bogus claims of tainted candy (there are no real cases reported of random tainted candy -- only things like Tylenol) is kind of like saying Christmas has passed its useful life because no one goes out caroling anymore.
