New Rules Make Domain Hijacking Easier

Tanktalus writes "Netcraft seems to have a little ditty about new rules from ICANN that take effect on Friday making it easier to hijack domain names. Essentially, if someone tries to take your domain, and you don't answer within 5 days, they now assume you are okay with the transfer. Previously, the default answer was no, and you had to explicitly state your acceptance of the domain transfer. Owners of small domains, beware: no more computerless vacations that last more than 4 days at a time!"

    Whatever dude. Your comment is so totally irrelevant. This is a billing issue, not a domain transfer problem. Nobody cares that your girlfriend had problems tranferring here "family" domain over from her father.

    Let's just hope the porn is still available. And I hear she's a swallower.

    Search engine Google is ignoring thousands of news stories about the alleged theft of the U.S. presidential election.

    Google's news coverage is driven by a sophisticated search engine, which scans news stories and groups them by content. You can test this system manually by typing search terms into Google News.

    For example, the keywords "Arafat" and "coma" currently yield just over 7,000 news stories. And the search term "Sunni+election+boycott" shows almost 1,900 stories.

    Google also not updated their index for ABu Ghuraib images as posted earlyer on slashdot.
    This is total manipulation.
    Also google recently done very much to help total observation of user (desctop and email keyword search for advertising).
