Thomas Hawk writes "Well after almost 24 hours of public release, The Seattle Post Intelligencer seems to have the best round up on the professional opinions on the new MSN search beta. Bottom line seems to be that nobody is going to be switching over to MSN Search from Google anytime soon. The story includes opinions by Walter Mossberg, John Battelle, The Wall Street Journal and others. "

    is coming from Microsoft - the trademark happy lawsuit company.

    I know it's hard to keep the various Slashbot bogeymen straight, but Microsoft is not remotely a litigious company. The only two infringement cases I can think of were the Lindows and Mike Rowe Soft instances, and both of those (Lindows, especially) were clear-cut abuses.

    If you don't like it, don't use it, nobody is forced to.

    For the /. crowd that works fine, but you're ignoring the fact that there are millions of lusers WHO DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER.

    These are the people Microsoft preys on.

    Take a look at any and all Linux distros that include a GUI. And you want to chastise MS about copying a UI element? Get real people.

    And a "trademark happy lawsuit company"?? I suggest you do some research you dumbf---.
