JDK 5.0: More Flexible, Scalable Locking

An anonymous reader writes "Multithreading and concurrency are nothing new, but one of the innovations of the Java language design was that it was the first mainstream programming language to incorporate a cross-platform threading model and formal memory model directly into the language specification. While this simplifies the development of platform-independent concurrent classes, it by no means makes writing concurrent classes trivial -- just easier."

And has a few trollish statements against Democrates. It is fine to defend your stance as a Bush voter, it is your right, but please, listen to the following:

Those who voted Bush gave thier first and only affirmative acceptance and vote of persnal merit to the actions undertaken in Iraq. Prior to this no American had given a personal vote of acceptance to the actions undertaken, if you voted Bush, then you approve of Fallujah, of the troops for oil programs, and the rest.

You voted into power the wealthiest cabinet in the history of all nations. Thier personal assets are shocking.

That is all, sorry, please mod OT, or even insightful for this thread! and don't feed the trolls.

If you think my past comments about the Democrates[sic] were trollish, you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. Mere disagreement is not trolling. Calling for increased honesty by both sides isn't trolling. Saying Bush was the marginally better candidate but I don't completely agree with him isn't trolling.

Apparently, you live in the black and white world that is the real target of my ire, where anything other than full support is active emnity and any one "wrong" opinion somehow discredits the entire person, regardless of the rest of the full person.

I neither want nor expect your respect at this point; this is merely a defense against your unwarranted attack. I'd ask you to think about the previous paragraph, but in my honest experience, you won't even understand what I'm trying to say, because you've already decided I'm wrong because I had a Wrong Opinion (TM).

One can only be a True Programmer if you have the right political opinions? This is why you are part of the problem, not part of the solution, it is that very kind of pigeonholing and prejudice that is tearing our country apart, not the actual disagreements, which we have always had and always will have.

You do know that Kerry agreed with going to war in Iraq and that his personal assets eclipse by far the assets of the entire Bush cabinet, don't you?

Or are you just an idiot?
