Switching to Contracting?
SoonToBeWorking asks: "I recently did a telephone interview for what I thought would be an absolutely wonderful job. It is primarily embedded Linux, with a stable employer that was less than 10 miles from my residence. The interview went extremely well, until the end. The position was listed as full-time but they want me to come on as contractor because the approval is easier to get. Then, I am told they would move me to full-time. I'm recently married, and looking for stable income because I have more than myself to look out for now (kids are not present or on the way for several years yet). I've never contracted before, so I am in unfamiliar territory. I hear a lot of good things -- 3-day work weeks and crazy amounts of money, but is the lack of stability worth it? I know I need my own health & life insurance, but what else? How do I convert my base salary to a contractor rate? Without a 401k or a 403b, how do I take care of retirement?"
How is the argument that the government should force money from the hands of those who work to the hands of those who don't, and that the government should dictate who should live and who should die through its centrally-controlled healthcare system, anything other than fascist contempt for those who produce the valuable goods and services of society?

ohhh well I do soooo deeply apologize for not wanting to be bothered for using caps for EMPHASIS. Lord knows I should take time to use strong bold and italic text in HUGE posts with forethought that consume over 1/2 an hour to type in plain text alone.
And we all know that a style of TYPING cannot EVAR EVAR EVAR be taken as humor -- I mean we NEVER see any ALL CAPS EMPHASIS in comics NO.

Because you sir seem to lack all concept of pattern recognition and demonstrate an utterly sociopathic tendency to despise methods that you personally do not subscribe to.
As such, I would recommend a few sessions of preliminary counseling followed by several years of institutional correction coupled with heavy doses of medication to be administered several times within a 24 hour period, a frontal lobotomy and permanent revocation of your Republican voting registration.
