Canadian iTunes Music Store Opens

Trillan writes "After appearing on December 1st, iTunes music store Canada is now officially open. Price is only $0.99 CDN (about $0.83 US) per song, so it's less expensive than the US store. This is probably fair since our CDs are usually cheaper here, too, at least on the west coast."

That's not a usage of "fair" I'm familiar with. Are you Canadians getting 16% less music per track than Americans? Or did you mean to say "it's unfair in a similar way to the current CD price-fixing scheme"?

Boo hoo. A top end G5 here costs $600 more if I take the US price and do the conversion to Canadian. I might as well just drive across the border and buy one. Then figure out a way to smuggle it back.
